Routine grooming is very important to the overall health of your pet.  Treat Fido or Fluffy  to a "Spaw" Day at Southern Hills with our cleansing bath removing all dirt, debris, odor and extra hair. Our bath includes a very lightly scented cherryderm shampoo. For pets with dry,  itchy skin hypoallergenic and medicated shampoos with soothing agents that stop itching are available upon request. Once your pet's fur is fresh & clean we will  professionally blow dry and brush out their coat, removing all loose or matted hair leaving them smooth & smelling good!

We DO NOT offer haircuts at this time and are very happy to refer you to a recommended Groomer.

Anal glands produce fluid with a distinctive odor that identifies your pet to other dogs so they can get to know one another without speaking. Healthy anal glands express and empty during bowel movements. However, some anal glands, if not properly emptied, can become impacted, making bowel movements difficult or painful and potentially lead to infections or abscesses.  Impacted anal glands can be relieved by manually expressing the fluid they contain.

In addition to baths, nail trimming is an important part of a regular grooming routine.
 If your dog’s nails get too long, they can break, which is painful and sometimes results in infection.
Long nails can also cause an irregular gait that leads to skeletal damage.
